Shameless & UKNova

I’ve been following the Ch4 series “Shameless” recently. Best show i’ve seen in quite a while. I was a bit iffy about it at first but got sucked in pretty quickly, and now each new episode can’t come along quickly enough for me. Apparently it’s into season 5 already but i only discovered it this year, i badly want to get my hands on the earlier seasons.

Anyway, for any expats out there who use torrents, the site i use to get tv shows is http://www.uknova.com/ . The problem is it’s difficult to get signed up as a site member, and they don’t do invites. I had to try to sign up twice a day for about 2 weeks before a slot finally opened up for me to get a username and password. It’s well worth the effort though. They post torrents for a ton of UK (and occasionally some Irish) TV shows, and it’s all legal as they don’t post anything that is out/coming out on DVD. Download speeds are excellent (mostly better than the popular torrent sites like mininova and The Pirate bay ). You’ll get UK TV series, comedy shows, drama, weekly shows like “Friday night w/ Jonathan Ross” “Al Murray” etc…, News, Match of the Day, some rugby, some snooker, documentaries, soaps, and some BBC radio uploads too. The more you seed, the better your download privileges too.

If you have no clue what a torrent is, or how to download one, start here . Personally i use µTorrent, as i find it’s not a huge resource hog, and has a simple no-nonsense interface.
